Release Date: September 16th, 2006This 170 minute sound collage, consisting of over 20 interlocking movements, is the blueprint for Ariel Rosenberg’s later pop albums. Thrash & Burn: Pre displays the artist’s preoccupation with radio culture, tape noise, and the modal pathos induced by warped, reversed and distressed audio tape. Discernible song structures, lyric passages and pop hooks rise and descend from a continuous stream of sound-thought generated in a heavily modded car cassette deck.
